CAP Member Claire Murphy, MD, FCAP, discusses Chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Dr. Murphy explained that several blood tests help differentiate CLL from other conditions. These include a complete blood count (CBC) to examine the number and types of blood cells, a peripheral blood smear, and serum iron, ferritin, and transferrin (iron-binding proteins) levels.
