Carey August, MD, FCAP

Carey August, MD, FCAP, Immediate Past President of the Board of Directors of the College of American Pathologists Foundation, has recently retired. She served as Chairman of Pathology and Medical Director of Laboratories at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago as well as Clinical Associate Professor of Pathology at Rosalind Franklin University. A past member of the Board of Governors and Council on Membership and Professional Development of the College of American Pathologists, she currently serves as Advisor to the Professional and Community Engagement Committee. Dr. August received her bachelor’s degree from Yale College and her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Her main professional interests during her 35 years in practice included Gynecological and Breast Pathology.

Dr. August can speak on cancer treatment, cancer diagnoses and pathology.
