Swati Bhardwaj, MD, MBBS, is a PGY-4 AP/CP Chief Resident at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York and currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the CAP Residents Forum Executive Committee (RFEC). Her involvement with the CAP includes her role as a junior member on the CAP 15189 Committee, a pathology pipeline champion, and her past roles as the CAP delegate to the AMA and a volunteer mentor to the CAP Foundation awardee medical student. She is an alumnus of the CAP ELA program having been awarded the CAP Leadership development award in fall 2022. She has a keen interest in research and was awarded the first prize at the CAP Abstract program in 2021. She is passionate about education and promoting Pathology among medical students. She serves on the education committee of the International Society of Gynecologic Pathology (ISGyP) and the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP). She also serves as a USCAP ambassador and the USCAP delegate to ICPI. She has authored 3 book chapters, multiple research papers, and is the one of the course leaders for a virtual pathology elective website. She will be pursuing a Genitourinary Pathology fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in the year 2024-25 and aspires to be an accomplished academic pathologist.
