Kalisha Hill, MD, MBA, FCAP, FASCP

Kalisha Hill, MD, MBA, FCAP, FASCP, is the Regional Chief Medical Officer for Ascension Illinois (Saint Joseph-Joliet and Saint Mary-Kankakee) and Medical Director of Pathology and Laboratory Services for Ascension Saint Mary-Kankakee. She is the owner of her independent medical practice, Mediexperts, LLC. Dr. Hill chairs several hospital committees, including Hospital Quality and Safety. She authored the COVID-19 Clinician Testing Guidelines and is a consultant for the Illinois Department of Public Health CLIA Laboratories.

Dr. Hill is serving her second term as Governor for the College of American Pathologists (CAP), is faculty for CAP annual meetings and is Chair of PathPac Board and Pathologists Pipeline Project Team. She is also Past-President of the Illinois Society of Pathologists. Receiving the CAP Distinguished Patient Care Award in 2018, she was recognized for her active engagement in community health related activities. Dr. Hill was also awarded the 2022 Pearl Foundation’s Trailblazer Award for Youth Empowerment and Mentorship. 

A local and national media consultant, Dr. Hill provides education to viewers on numerous medical topics ranging from COVID19 to the autopsy findings of Mr. George Floyd.

Dr. Hill is an Emory University alumnus that attended medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago, followed by residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. 

Dr. Hill is a wife and mother of adult twins, one of whom is currently enrolled in medical school. She is a board member of Uplifted Care Hospice and Will Grundy Medical Clinic. Dr. Hill is member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Lake Shore (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, which focuses on community programs for youth and adults, including educational and health services.
