Angela Lapus, MD, MPH, FACP, FCAP

Angela Lapus, MD, MPH, FACP, FCAP, is a board-certified pathologist with subspecialty training in Cytopathology. Dr. Lapus serves as the Cytopathology Director and Laboratory Medical Director of the histology laboratory at Regional Pathology Associates, a community pathology practice group serving the patient community in the Victoria County area of south Texas. Dr. Lapus completed both medical school and residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Texas, McGovern Medical School in Houston, with consecutive fellowships in Selective Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. She also holds a Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Texas, Houston School of Public Health. She is a member of the Texas Medical Association's Women Physician Section and the LGBTQ Section, and serves on the College of American Pathologists' Committee for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and is a first-term member of the CAP House of Delegates. An avid cyclist, she is also a member of numerous grassroots organizations advocating for equity in sport.
