Julie L Cruz, MD, FCAP

Dr. Julie Cruz is a Senior Medical Director at Versiti. She is also the CLIA Medical Director of the Versiti Donor Testing Laboratory, and the Versiti Immunohematology laboratory in Indiana where she has worked for the past 16 years. She holds undergraduate degrees in Communications from the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!) and in Biology/Chemistry from Manchester College. She is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she also underwent Pathology residency and Transfusion Medicine fellowship. She is Board Certified in Clinical Pathology and Transfusion Medicine. Having served on many local and national committees, including Chair of the AABB Circular of Information Committee. She is currently the ABC liaison to the CAP Transfusion, Apheresis and Cellular Therapy Committee, and a member of the AABB Donor Health and Safety Committee, as well as the ABC Scientific-Medical-Technical Committee.
