The College of American Pathologists (CAP) hosted a virtual media briefing featuring leading pathologists—the physicians who biopsy and diagnose disease.
As the nation deals with COVID fatigue, CAP leading pathologists discussed the impact of the pandemic on laboratories and lessons learned to prepare for future pandemics and COVID variants. CAP leaders also discuss the impact of COVID on patient care as it highlighted the lack of access to laboratories, especially in underserved and vulnerable population.
