Texans have been slow to vaccinate their youngest against COVID-19, but they're slightly ahead of the national average

James Versalovic, MD, FCAP, comments on parents reluctant to vaccinate their child against COVID-19 and why it's important to vaccinate. "Children have fared better overall than adults, and it is true when you look at the entire U.S. population,' states Dr. Versalovic. "One can certainly come to that conclusion. But the fact is that hundreds of children in the U.S. have died of COVID-19 in this pandemic. Thousands have been hospitalized. We've seen this impact directly at Texas Children's."
