Dr. Nakashima continued to say that a bone marrow biopsy and aspiration (the process of removing a small amount of bone marrow and examining it under a microscope) help determine the extent of the disease and the genetic features of the myeloma cells, which can indicate if a specific therapy may be more effective against your myeloma.
