La'Tonzia Adams, MD, MS, FCAP, a member of the CAP Professional and Community Engagement Committee, appeared on KGW-TV, the NBC affiliate in Portland, OR, to bring light to racial biases in medicine. March is National Kidney Month and Dr. Adams is discussing the end of race-based testing for chronic kidney disease. "Being a pathologist, but also being a black pathologist, is momentous to see this actually happening and at such a large scale," states Dr. Adams.
